Happy July! It’s a new month and summer is really getting into full swing. It’s also our anniversary month! So what better time than now to start a new article series? And what better subject to pick than our recommended books of the month? It’s going to be a bunch of books from different genres that we’ve either read ourselves or are on our TBR list! My Fault (Culpable, Book 1)

By now, you’ve probably seen the movie adaptation of this one. Or at least clips and edits of it on TikTok or Instagram. Maybe even Facebook reels. There’s also a good chance that you’ve already seen the movie. If you haven’t, we strongly recommend that too. But we are always going to recommend that you read the book because 9 times out of 10, the book is better. And while this book and the movie are pretty close to both being perfection, we just freaking loved this book!

Badass Author, New Series

If you haven’t heard of Stephanie Garber, we strongly suggest you check out her Caraval trilogy because it’s freaking amazing. Even if you don’t feel like checking that one out, you should definitely give this one a try. Especially if you are a fan of Taylor Swift’s song Speak Now. Yeah, it has that going on. Plus, some action, adventure, and magic are thrown in for good measure on top of that whole interrupt the wedding thing.

Experienced Songwriter, Debut Author

Yeah, you read that right. Songwriter Susanna Hoffs is hitting the books! Love classics like Manic Monday, Eternal Flame, Call on Me, I’ll Set You Free? Us too! And now she’s given us this marvelous gift of a rock-star romantic comedy that we couldn’t put down. We’re also probably going to read it about a hundred more times. And we’re going to laugh every single time. BRB, we’re going to go start reading it again right now! Our July must-reads list would NOT have been complete without this one!

Irish Chaos

A book that revolves around entering adulthood, meeting who you think is the love of your life, and experiencing love at first sight. Plus there’s plenty of heart and humor! And it’s all set in Ireland? Sign us up! Oh wait, we already got signed up and loved every second. Sign us up again! Because this is not only a book you aren’t going to want to miss, but it’s one you are never going to forget and will more than likely be reading more than once. What the heck are you waiting for?! Get reading!

Touching or Terrifying

This one is freaking fantastic. And scary. Well, quite terrifying actually. But also really touching. And did we mention scary? If you think it sounds like we’re putting two things together that don’t seem like they belong, you’d be right. But Grady Hendrix not only makes these things work together, he makes them work together beautifully! Returning home to sell her parents’ house after they pass away, Louise is in for the shock of her life when she discovers the house doesn’t want to be sold. Don’t read this at night. Or in the dark. Or before bed. Definitely not before going to sleep. Trust us! But also, definitely check it out!

Or the fanbulance. Because this romance is going to have you falling head over heels! We have characters who not only have imperfections but acknowledge and embrace them. Plus, we have some right person wrong time mixed with a little right person right time. Fern’s life is not where she thought it would be. But here she is running her mom’s resort by the lake. Did we mention her ex-boyfriend is currently the manager of the said resort? Or that her right person wrong time man has made a return? No? Well, we have now. And if you’re not intrigued by that, we don’t know what to tell you! Except give this book a shot. You’ll be glad you did and we won’t even make you thank us.
