‘DWTS’ Prom Night Recap: Week 5, Night 2
After an emotional evening on the first night of Week 5, DWTS Prom Night focused on the memories of prom for the celebrities. While some celebrities did not get to experience prom in a conventional way, we also got to see how prom didn’t go well for some people. It was a magical night for all involved. Plus, in addition to performing their solo dances, they also took part in a dance marathon.
DWTS Prom Night was a magical evening

The dance marathon at the end of the night was four minutes and consisted of the celebrities trying to win Prom King and Queen. They earned points based on who stuck it out the longest. The first couple, Daniel and Britt, were selected first so they only earned one bonus point. As it went on and on, Jessie and Alan were crowned Prom Queen and King. It was so fun to watch Jessie realize they were the last couple on the dance floor, meaning she won!
It’s always hard to say goodbye

Unfortunately, it was time for the most difficult part of the night, elimination. It’s getting even more difficult to say goodbye to people as they have to move on. This week, the couples in the bottom two were Heidi and Artem, and Joe and Daniella.
Carrie Ann Inaba voted to save Joe and Daniella while Bruno and Derek chose Heidi and Artem. This left judge Len Goodman to make the final decision. He chose to save Heidi and Artem. Unfortunately, this did mean we had to say goodbye to Joe and Daniella. We had so much fun watching them perform and wish him the best!
While Selma got a perfect 10 on Night One as a sweet send-off, technically it wasn’t an official score. So on DWTS Prom Night, both Gabby Windey and Val Chmerkovskiy, and Wayne Brady and Witney Carson received the perfect 10s. For Wayne and Witney, they truly had a magical performance with their Samba and we look forward to watching them each week!
Week 6 will be Michael Buble night, with the celebrities performing the singer’s hit songs. We’re excited to see what they come up with!
Let’s go over how the celebrities did and what they performed on DWTS Prom Night.
