Season 2 is Upon Us

With season 1 already in the bag, season 2 will be premiering on June 22nd and we’re stoked. Catch the teaser promo below!

Looks like the magic was only just getting started and there is so much more on the way. Last the show left off with Tally, Raelle, and Abigail heading right into battle after basic training. In the midst of an ambush, Tally came to the aid of Alder, their leader, giving much of her life force to her, while Abigail refused to leave Raelle and the two united as one, creating unimaginable power that shook everyone including Alder.

One of the major plots we’re looking forward to being explored is Raelle’s mother being alive and the leader of the Spree, the organization responsible for magic terrorism across the U.S.  Then there’s the bond between Abigail and Raelle that created that huge power surge at the end after the ambush by the Camarilla. And Tally’s new role as a Biddy for Alder and how that could give her an advantage to spying on her? Learning more about witches’ heritage? Hell, yes. We’re excited about all of it. The action matches the wit and heart bit for bit.

Potential For a Spin-Off. Yes, Please!

From the get-go, Motherland: Fort Salem was a rockstar. That said, its first season explored only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the culture and races of witchcraft. From our colonized witches under the leadership of Alder to the Spree to the Camarilla. And we know that’s not all out there. The story of our girls isn’t the only one that can be told and with the structure of the show, we definitely think there’s great potential for a spin-off at another Fort or even in the realm of a different sector of witches such as The Tarim from which Khalida and her brother, Adil, hail from. This is definitely a show that has a lot of stories to share and shows endless possibilities. We’re hoping for a spin-off in the future.

Excited about the premiere like us? Let’s geek out in the comments together. Also, follow us @capeandcastle on Twitter and join us for the live tweet when the show airs!
