‘Nurses’ 1×10 Review: “Lady Business”

This season finale was a hell of a ride. There was a lot of good happening, like Hamilton being brought down. But there was some not so great stuff going on as well. Like the situation with Wolf spiraling out of control. And Sinead’s drinking problem causing some big issues. But there was a little bit of romance thrown in for a few characters as well! And that’s always a good thing! So keep reading for our Nurses 1×10 review!

Keep Your Head Up

We will never stop being proud of Grace for coming forward and telling everyone about Hamilton. But we were surprised that he resigned fairly quickly. We expected a bit more of a fight out of him. Though we’re sure we haven’t seen the last of him. No way is he going to just lay down and take this. Not after the way he spoke about nurses like they were beneath him and insisted they were all lying for his money. Because more and more of them kept coming forward and we hope everyone he has done this to comes forward. Let everyone know what kind of man Hamilton really is. But it would be nice to see him get some more retribution than just resigning. Actual punishment would be great instead of just walking away.

While there are always going to be people who don’t believe when one person comes forward, we will admit we expected better from some of Grace’s peers. Many of them expressed their support and Grace did a surprisingly good job of staying out of the spotlight on the entire issue. We’ll admit we were most anticipating Evan’s reaction. And he sure delivered. Instead of explicitly expressing his support to Grace, he did one better. When she angrily turned around and saw him, trying to get him to speak up on the issue, he simply smiled at her and complimented her hair, and said whatever she was doing with it was really working for him. Oh, Evan, we love you. And that kiss at the end! Be still our hearts. Evan telling Grace that he has wanted to kiss her from the moment she walked in the door had us swooning.

From Bad to Worse

The situation with Wolf has gone beyond dangerous. And we know there really wasn’t a clear cut answer on what was the right call to make, for the most part, we did get mad at him. We were mad that Wolf got himself into this situation to begin with. But we were really pissed when he stole pain medication from a dying patient. Even though he did eventually make things right, the pain that the patient went through was senseless. And it was Wolf’s fault. So yeah, we were a bit pissed off at him. But that didn’t mean we wanted to see him get hurt.

And that’s exactly what happened. We still don’t understand how Red could have hurt Wolf so badly without anyone noticing. What the hell? It has us really worried about what comes next. Obviously, Red isn’t going to just let him walk away. This means the people that Red works for aren’t going to let Wolf walk away, either. And that has us insanely worried. Wolf needs to at least come forward and tell the other nurses what’s been going on. He was proud of Grace for telling them her story and supported her wholeheartedly. The group would do the same for him. And he needs to do it sooner rather than later. Because things are only going to get worse from here.

Good News and Bad News

When Naz caught Vanessa getting a pregnancy test and she admitted that it was for her, we didn’t know what to think. But before Naz could spill the secret to Keon, Vanessa did it herself. And Keon was extremely supportive. Luckily, it turned out that it was a false alarm and Vanessa was not pregnant. But it did seem to bring Keon and Vanessa close again. Which we think is wonderful. We really want to see where a relationship between them goes. Keon has been upfront about wanting that too. Vanessa just needs to allow herself a chance to be happy and give it a shot, too.

Sinead had us really worried. And it didn’t surprise us that Ashley was the one to find out Sinead was drinking again. She tried to help but naturally, this backfired and Sinead almost caused a boy to be blind with her mistake. It would’ve been hard to forgive her after that. She made the best decision to go to rehab. What did you think of Nurses 1×10? Are you happy that Evan and Grace finally seem to be getting together? What about Vanessa and Keon?
