‘DWTS’ 29×03 Review: Disney Night

Here we are with some more adventures from Dancing With The Stars. Another week of performances down as the remaining 14 couples hit the dance floor for Disney night! It was a glorious two hours of performances set to classic Disney songs, including from Soul, which will debut Nov. 20, 2020. Plus, find out which celebrity went home this week on DWTS.

Ready for a comeback

For this week, many of the couples had the chance to grow after certain mishaps or injuries. Skai Jackson and Alan Bersten started the night off with a Jive to The Princess and the Frog’s “Almost there.” The judges did have some pointers for her, but Jackson had a great come back after a slip last week.

Other performances landed some higher scores, with Nev and Jenna and Johnny and Britt landing 8’s. Hilariously enough, when Jeannie Mai got her first 8 after dancing to Up’s “Married Life,” she took Bruno Tonioli’s scorecard! The excitement got to the daytime talk show host and she did deserve that score for a great performance with her partner.

Now, there were certainly other celebrities who put their best foot forward but ultimately needed to work on their dancing. Anne Heche and Keo Motsepe landed in the bottom two after it seemed as though they were dancing to do different beats. However, they clearly enjoy working together and it is likely that given more time to improve, they will find a cohesive rhythm.

The DWTS elimination

The couple eliminated this week were Carole Baskin and her partner, Pasha Pashkov. After a performance that left plenty of people scratching their heads, it was clear that it was likely her last night on the dance floor. The low score of 12 for the night was a giveaway.

Other dances I enjoyed were Justina and Sasha’s, despite their dance straying from a traditional Charleston, Chrishell and Gleb, Nelly and Danielle, Cheryl and AJ, and Vernon and Peta. Honestly, I really liked most of the performances and it is so hard to choose a favorite when the celebrities are trying their best. As always, the judges gave room for improvement, but the couples tonight were enjoying themselves on this fun, Disney-filled adventure.

Make sure to tune in with us on Monday, Oct. 5 when week four hits. As always, we’ll be watching as well. Join the conversation on social media and tell us which couple you are voting for on DWTS!
