AMC is upping their game with a special The Walking Dead event on October 4th. And if that isn’t enough for you, following the special will be the series premiere of the latest The Walking Dead spinoff, The Walking Dead: World Beyond! But AMC isn’t stopping there. Fear the Walking Dead will make its season six return on October 11th. The last show on AMC’s October roster will be the second season premiere of Eli Roth’s History of Horror on October 10th.
According to AMC, The Walking Dead: World Beyond will revolve around two female leads and the focus of the show will be on the first generation to grow up in the age of the apocalypse. AMC describes the characters:
“Some will become heroes. Some will become villains. In the end, all of them will be changed forever. Grown-up and cemented in their identities, both good and bad.”
The latest spin-off series will feature Annet Mahendru (The Americans, Tyrant), Aliyah Royale (The Red Line), and Nico Tortorella (Younger, Scream 4) in all ten episodes of the first season. Are you as excited about this latest spin-off series as we are?
Halloween, Halloween, Halloween
If you’re a Michael Myers fan, then FearFest absolutely has your back. Halloween, Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers, Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers, Halloween 6: The Curse of Michael Myers, Halloween H20: 20 Years Later, and Halloween: Resurrection will all be playing multiple times. That’s a lot of William Shatner’s face. Oops. We mean Michael’s face. And if you don’t get that joke, we may be older than we realize. Also, if we were Laurie, we probably would have given up on trying to get away from Michael a long time ago. You go, Laurie!

While the movies are all playing during random times for the majority of the lineup, the last day of FearFest will have them playing pretty closely in order. With the exception of Halloween II and Halloween III, the movies will begin at a little before eight in the morning and run in order until the last one begins a little before six in the evening on October 25th.
The Friday the 13th franchise will also be available along with the Insidious trilogy, the From Dusk Till Dawn trilogy, and plenty of others. If you are a horror film buff, you’re definitely not going to want to miss this event. You can check out AMC’s official site here for more information.
