Ship Spotlight: Celebrating ‘iZombie’s’ LilyMoore

There is no question that Liv (Rose McIver, Once Upon a Time) and Major had some serious ups and downs in their relationship. But perhaps the saddest part is that without the whole zombie aspect of things, their relationship would have been golden. I was rooting for them since day one and I’m so happy with how things ended. So let’s discuss iZombie‘s LilyMoore!

When They Still Took Care of Each Other

Even when Major had no idea why Liv had left him, he still tried to be there for her. I loved the way he supported her. Of course, he just thought she had PTSD, but still. Major just wanted to love her and it was so obvious that Liv loved him as well.

Even though she left him, Major was still always doing his best to make sure that Liv was okay. And she was the first person he called when he needed help. Liv also made sure she was there for Major and it just made me love them more.

When Liv Refused to Let Major Walk Away

I think Liv spent so much time feeling bad for what she did to Major that she did her best not to ever fight with him. And I think that during that time, Major was building up more and more anger at her because he wanted a fight to give him some type of closure from their breakup. Being friends clearly wasn’t working.

So when they finally had a big one, I loved it. Because I knew it was going to lead to better things, and it definitely did. But it was only because Liv tried to tell Major she was letting him go and he had no reaction. So she whipped that door back open and let him have it. And then he came to her and their epic makeout happened. Even though Liv put a stop to it for fear of turning him into a zombie. Again.

When They Got Back Together

I was so excited when they finally got back together, but I knew it wouldn’t last. Not this time. There were just too many secrets between them at that point. But it did give me more hope for the future. Because it was so clear they couldn’t stay away from each other for long.

But that doesn’t mean I didn’t enjoy it while it lasted. Because I did. Who didn’t? It was freaking beautiful! I’m sure everyone remembers strip poker. Just thinking about when Liv was in jail and Major came to see her and was so worried gets my heart all aflutter.

When Major Began to Really Understand Liv

It was a huge blow for Major to find out he was right about zombies and that Liv had lied to him. But he adapted pretty well. Though he still didn’t really understand everything that Liv went through when she was on other peoples’ brains. Hence, their second breakup.

But when Major was made a zombie the second time around and he started having to eat the brains himself, he really got it. And it was a huge part of him understanding Liv. But even before then he had started to get it by talking with Natalie. It was actually one of my favorite parts of their story. Major on teenager brain, anyone?

When Everything Major Did Was to Save Her

Major made a lot of mistakes after he found out zombies were real and his ex-fiancee was one of them. But when he finally broke down and told Ravi that it was all to protect Liv, my heart rate skyrocketed.

Major never cared what happened to him as long as Liv was safe. It didn’t matter what he had to do as long as he could ensure Liv was protected. If you don’t think that’s the most beautiful thing ever, we can’t be friends.

When Major Knew That With or Without his Memory He Would Love Liv

Of course I had suspicions the whole time that Blaine was full of crap about losing his memory. But I was still a little nervous about what would happen to Major. What if he did lose his memory and everything changed? I was hoping that wouldn’t be the case but it was definitely a possibility.

Major really had me in tears when he was writing letters about what everyone meant to him. With a little comedy mixed in over his tear-stained envelope with Ravi’s letter inside. Then he brought me back to tears with the way he told Liv what was in her letter. And then when they thought they were saying good-bye? Ugh. My freaking heart. How dare they be so perfect and beautiful while ripping it right out of my chest?!

When They Got Their Happy Ever After

I’m going to come right out and say it. I don’t know of any two people that deserved a happy ending more than these two. They were destined for such a beautiful life together that was almost stolen from them. But they fought hard for it and every time they got close it seemed like it was ripped further away from them.

So when I saw those wedding rings on their hands, it’s pretty safe to say I freaked the hell out. Finally! It was everything I had been waiting for. I would be lying if I said I wasn’t worried about them getting it. I was genuinely terrified that it would be taken away from them one last time. I’ve never been so happy to be wrong.
