Raquel’s Quaranstream (Part 1 of 2)
Let’s be real – Rapunzel has officially become our global icon. Just as Mother Gothel had kept the lost princess quarantined in a tower from the Kingdom of Corona, the entire world has been ordered by law to quarantine from the fatal virus also ironically known as Corona.
I am sure that most of us have been watching every day go by like a deja vu as if we are in the movie Groundhog’s Day, while probably singing to ourselves “When Will My Life Begin”. Even though staying cooped up at home for weeks may be driving you insane like it is for me, there is, unfortunately, absolutely nothing else that we can do to change our current situation. We can only make the most out of our quarantine time until life gets back to normal again as well as being proud that each of us is saving lives by making this huge sacrifice.
One way to be productive during this difficult time is to make a to-do list of some sort that will keep us busy. Film and television, for me, is my medicine for times like this. I am a big fan of getting emotionally involved in the lives of fictional characters rather than dealing with my own problems. Sometimes, I create watchlists, whether they are full of content that I have not yet seen but would like to see at some point or just some of my favorite TV shows and movies that never fail to put a smile on my face.
Here is a TV watchlist (in no particular order) that I have made to keep me going through this COVID-19 quarantine (stay tuned for my movie watchlist).

Kim Possible
Sucker for the famous friends-to-lovers trope? Kim Possible and Ron Stoppable invented it! High school students by day, crime-fighters by night. She’s a hot cheerleader, and he’s a geek who owns a naked mole-rat. She’s cool and flexible, while he’s awkward and clumsy. Kim and Ron are two polar opposites who just somehow make it work. You’ll definitely want to add this iconic animated series to your quarantine watchlist!

Wizards of Waverly Place
If you’re looking to watch Disney Channel’s best original sitcom, that would be Wizards of Waverly Place. This series has got the best cast, the best ships (Justin and Juliette and Alex and Mason, helloo) and Max just being Max. Practically every episode is humorous in its own magical way while teaching valuable life lessons. Besides, it would also not hurt to support Jennifer Stone (Harper Finkle) who is now a registered nurse and ready to take action to fight against COVID-19.

Timon & Pumbaa
Ah, Toon Disney – the good old days! I still wish to this day that Disney XD never took over. Thankfully, we now have Disney Plus that allows us to relive those memories.
One of Toon Disney’s greatest series was Timon & Pumbaa, which follows the two best friends from Disney’s The Lion King movies as they live out their every day “Hakuna Matata” lifestyle. The famous meerkat and warthog sure do get themselves into tons of trouble; however, they never fail to crack us up while doing so.

Lilo & Stitch: The Series
Finally, we have Lilo & Stitch: The Series – a spin-off of the 2002 Walt Disney animated feature film. This Disney Channel show picks up with Experiment 626, Stitch, living happily with his best friend, Lilo. When Dr. Jumba Jookiba’s other 625 experiments become activated, it is up to Lilo and Stitch to find each one to prevent them from destroying humanity while teaching them to use their powers for good.
Besides continuing the thrilling and fun-filled adventures of a little Hawaiian girl and her alien pal, the series also gives Stitch his soulmate, Angel, as well as provides us with quality crossovers with two other Disney Channel original series, Kim Possible and The Proud Family.
