30 Days of Thanks: Why We’re Thankful for ‘Monsters, Inc.’
With characters like Boo, Sulley, and Mike, we have a million reasons why we’re thankful for Monsters, Inc.! Keep reading below for just a couple of them!
Laughter Over Screams
The revelation in this movie that screams aren’t the only source of power may have seemed simple. Something that was meant to make kids happy. But it sent a really great message that you are so much more than your job and to fight for what you believe in.

Sometimes we get so caught up in our jobs that we forget they actually aren’t the most important things. Our loved ones are the most important thing, along with being true to ourselves. And that’s just one of the lessons we learned from this movie.
Inner Beauty
While it is definitely a part of the story that is generally noticed more by adults, we don’t know of anyone that doesn’t love and appreciate the relationship between Mike and Celia. Mike always seems to be in trouble, but Celia always forgives him and they love each other through it all.
They love each other for what’s on the inside, another theme that presents itself in this movie. We are so grateful for the love between Boo and her monsters. While their entire society railed against it, and despite their best efforts, Sulley and Mike loved Boo.
The Happy Ending
As we always expect from a Disney movie, Monsters, Inc. gives us our happy ending. It’s beautiful and like the saps that these movies always seem to turn us into, it has us grinning like fools. We are so thankful for every part of this movie and we love watching it again and again!
